“Secrecy tends to feed affairs, and honesty tends to heal affairs.” – Dr. Scott Woolley
- When partners can be present, vulnerable and engaged, there is a powerful connection that occurs.
- Emotional attunement helps create and fuel love between partners.
- To start the healing process, partners need to get in touch with their deeper, primary emotion.
- To begin the relationship repair process, it is important for the partner that had the affair to see and be with the pain of the injured partner and to express genuine remorse over their suffering.
- As a couple, it is important to understand why the affair happened, so that you can prevent it from happening again.
“Don’t give up on healing your relationship; it’s possible that your relationship can be better than it has ever been.” – Dr, Scott Woolley
- If people want to go through the process to save their relationship, it’s possible, but it will take a lot of dedicated time and work for both partners, but it can be accomplished.
